  1. General information on transport damages.

All articles from Wibutec automotive retrofits are inspected and carefully packaged by the employees of the shipping department. However, in very rare cases, items from a shipment may arrive damaged or even missing. Therefore, we kindly ask you to consider the following points upon receipt of your delivery.

• A damaged or crushed cardboard box may already indicate possible damage to the goods.

• Please check the completeness of the order based on the enclosed documents. It may be a partial delivery.

If you notice obviously damaged or missing items, please inform our service office immediately at wibutec.de/contact. We will discuss the further procedure with you.

Please do not return damaged shipments or items without contacting us beforehand. If you still choose to do so, you, as the sender, are obligated to provide evidence that the damages or missing items did not occur during the return. To avoid this, we recommend following the procedures for.

  1. If there is visible damage to the shipment upon delivery, please open the shipment in the presence of the delivery person and check for any hidden damages. Pay particular attention to whether an item is damaged and corresponds to the delivery contents.

Usually, you confirm not only the receipt of the goods with your signature, but also the externally proper condition of the shipping or transport packaging without any visible defects. In any case, have the delivery person record a damage report and have all damages to the packaging as well as the delivered items accurately described. Furthermore, you should list all missing items accurately. Photographs of the damaged shipment and the damaged items can contribute to securing evidence. If you do not wish to accept the shipment due to damage, you can of course refuse it. Please note that a reservation regarding later claims regarding transport damage or completeness is legally irrelevant for externally damaged shipments.

2.1. Delivery by DHL If you notice any damage during delivery by DHL, please obtain information on the DHL website (www.dhl.de/de/toolbar/searchresults.html?q=schadensanzeige) or a post office or postal agency the form for "damage report for a package or parcel with proof (national)" and send a copy to our service office. We

will then initiate the further steps.

  1. Hidden transport damage A hidden transport damage exists when it is only recognized after acceptance of the shipment.

3.1. Delivery by freight carrier. Please inspect the goods immediately upon receipt. If you notice any damage, please report it to us within five working days after taking over the goods at wibutec.de/contact. Damages discovered later, which are due to improper handling during transport, will no longer be recognized and replaced by the insurance companies. Please describe the damage as accurately as possible and keep the goods, including the outer packaging and shipping packaging. Photographs of the damaged shipment and the damaged goods can also contribute to securing evidence. Wibutec KFZ retrofits will then contact you immediately and initiate the further steps.

3.2. Delivery by DHL (in case of damage) If you discover a concealed transport damage after a delivery by DHL, please take the damaged package to the nearest post office or postal agency, including the shipping packaging, for the purpose of documenting the damage by an employee there. If you cannot present the shipment to the post office or postal agency, you should intercept the package delivery person and hand over the package, including the shipping packaging, to them against a receipt and have the damage recorded by the freight post center. Photographs of the damaged shipment and the damaged goods can also contribute to securing evidence.

  1. Please note that carriers often refuse to accept liability for damages. Therefore, please pay attention to what you sign on the damage form.

• If the shipment was visibly damaged and you accepted the shipment without objection, any liability is excluded and you alone bear the damage.

• If the program was not visibly damaged, transporters often try to reject the claims process. This is justified by the fact that, due to the externally invisible damage, no transport damage could have occurred. This indirectly implies that you have damaged the goods in general or that Wibutec KFZ retrofits intentionally sent damaged goods. Look for signs of external force on the package in these cases, such as slight indentations, and have them recorded in the damage report. If there are any notes in the damage report that impair proper damage processing, you should write an additional note with a corresponding counterstatement or an addition in the damage form before signing....

• The process for reporting and documenting damages is unfortunately time-consuming and cumbersome. Despite having transport insurance, transporters in the majority of cases try to shift the blame onto the shipper or the recipient in order to avoid having to pay. Therefore, it is important that you contact us immediately and inform us promptly in the event of damages, so that we can assist you with the further claims processing.
